Jensen's Twin Palm Marina offers water
taxi service to a number of remote island destinations accessed only by
water. For those who don't want to make a full day of being on the water, we offer guided sight-seeing excursions by the hour. Great for families with small children or first time visitors who may want to check out island destinations before spending the whole day there. Our taxis are piloted by licensed, U.S. Coast Guard Captains. |
| Cabbage Key is a mangrove island in Pine Island Sound with Caribbean flavor and a rich history. Famous for its Cheeseburgers (in paradise) and walls papered with dollar bills, the restaurant sits atop an Indian Mound. A short climb up the water tower provides an impressive view, especially in spring when the flamboyant trees paint a fiery streak of color across the landscape. |

| The beaches of the barrier islands are
unparalleled for observing wildlife and getting away from it all. Flaxen sea
oats ridge the small dunes and wild morning glories crawl toward the sea.
You can walk for miles on these flawless beaches finding privacy,
tranquility and lots of good shells. Jensen's also offers taxi service to the island of Boca Grande. For water taxi service, call 239-472-5800 for reservations. We will take you where you want to go and pick you up at a pre-arranged time. The Outer Islands can be an excellent place to get away from other people. No more comment need be made than the two photos below. |

Barnacle Phil's,
a luncheon destination on North Captiva, |
| North Captiva's Barnacle Phils is a
unique slice of island life and the local's favorite. Tucked into a
mangrove thicket, the restaurant serves fresh seafood and the best black
beans and yellow rice this side of Havana. Patrons are served outside on
picnic tables under palm-thatched huts or indoors, under the stead hum of
ceiling fans at hand-painted "art" tables. Housed in an old two-story
cracker home, the upstairs features a unique gift shop featuring local
artists. Come as you are, Phil's is casual and fun. |
